Lens And Leash: Who is this adoption story about?
Florence McCall Phillips: Our cat named Kitty. He is somewhere between 5-8 years old, male, tuxedo cat.
Lens And Leash: What made you decide to adopt?
Florence McCall Phillips: We had a big problem in our house with mice.
Lens And Leash: When and where did you adopt Kitty?
Florence McCall Phillips: 3 years ago from the Animal Adoption center here in Jackson Hole.
Lens And Leash: How old was Kitty when you adopted him and do you know anything about his life before you adopted him?
Florence McCall Phillips: They really didn’t know. They say between 3-5 years old.
Lens And Leash: What made you decide to adopt Kitty specifically?
Florence McCall Phillips: My son really liked him because he cuddled well with him when we were in the cat room.
Lens And Leash: What is your favorite quirk about Kitty?
Florence McCall Phillips: That 1 second he is loving and sweet and the next second he will attack you.
Lens And Leash: Did you have to do any training with him after you adopted him?
Florence McCall Phillips: No, he is a wonderful cat, he is a huge mouser and LOVES to cuddle a ton. He is a part of our team.
Lens And Leash: What tips or pieces of advice would you offer to people that are looking to adopt for the first time?
Florence McCall Phillips: Go with your gut feeling when you meet the animal.
Lens And Leash: Would you adopt again and would you adopt from the same shelter/rescue?
Florence McCall Phillips: Yes, for sure!
You may recognize Florence from a photo shoot we did with her at the Jackson/Teton County Animal Shelter back in January of this year!
